Station Casinos in hot water after Red Rock Resorts accepts sports bets after a game outcome
Station Casinos is facing disciplinary action after it was found that the company’s Red Rock Resort sportsbook took wagers after event outcomes were known. The Nevada Gaming Control Board will be fining the owner or instituting another form of action based on betting issues stemming from a three-year time frame.
Betting Issues
In total, 348 bets were allowed to be posted after the outcome of an event. On September 13, a two-count complaint was filed, with the Control Board stating the company reported a technical issue in late March. In the spring report, the company said that a computer malfunction caused server memory issues within Stadium Live.
Three times in three years, the Red Rock Resort received violation letters regarding sports betting regulations from the Board. Because of this, the Board said that the company was already aware that there was an issue with its services.Come from Lodigame777
In the complaint, regulators said that the operator needs to have a monitoring process in place to make sure that wagers are not accepted after the outcome of an event has been determined. For Station Casinos, they did not follow through and the bets were able to be placed.
The Board wrote in the complaint that Station Casinos is responsible for the violation of the Stadium Live program. Toleration of the repeated violation issues is grounds for revocation of the operator’s license or another disciplinary action. All three board members signed the complaint.
Plans for a New Casino
As Station Casinos faces the sports betting violation issue, the company is also working on creating a new casino in Nevada. Back in July, the company announced plans for a new gaming development on 71 acres of land, two miles away from the Las Vegas Strip. The company has owned the land for more than two decades but has yet to develop it.
Just recently, the company was given approval for its plans to create a 100,000 square foot casino with 40 table games and 2,000 slots. The property will also include a sportsbook and hotel. The Spring Valley Town Advisory Board gave the go-ahead and Station Casinos showed its appreciation for the decision soon after it was made.
The company sees the development as a way to bring new state and local taxes, estimating tens of millions will be earned from the property. The name of the property or additional details have not been provided, but Station Casinos has plans to provide this information in the near future.Come from jili646
